Challenge Coin Pricing Built Around the Full Picture
Custom challenge coins are not one-size-fits-all, so pricing should not be either. We look at the actual project before quoting it. That means size, number of colors, shape, 2-D vs 3-D detail, UV printing, bottle opener cutouts, and quantity are all reviewed up front so the quote you receive is clear, complete, and built around the coin you actually want.
No Teaser Price. No Surprise Add-Ons Later.
We do not like the pricing model where a site shows one low number and then the actual quote grows once mold fees, UV printing, engraving, shipping, shape changes, or design complexity are added in later. We would rather see the full build first and quote it honestly.
Simple Per-Coin Pricing
Price per coin generally drops as quantity increases, but the final quote still depends on the exact build. These example tiers are a helpful starting point for standard projects and match the style you wanted from your original homepage section.
Important: final pricing depends on the full design and production details, not quantity alone.
That includes coin size, amount of color, custom shape, 2-D vs 3-D artwork, UV printing for exact image detail, bottle opener cutouts, and other specialty features.
Why We Quote the Complete Coin Instead of Posting One Generic Price
A custom challenge coin is a manufactured product, not a stock item. Two coins can have the same quantity and completely different pricing because one may be a simple round 2-D design while the other may use more colors, a custom cut shape, deeper sculpted 3-D detail, a bottle opener cutout, or UV printing to capture exact image detail.
That is why we prefer to quote from the complete picture. We want to know what you are actually making before we give you a number. It is a better experience for you, and it keeps the quote honest from the start.
A Quote Built to Be Clear
When we quote a project, we are not trying to get your attention with the lowest possible number and sort out the real cost later. We would rather show you the real pricing based on the actual build so you know what to expect.
That means no awkward moment where a customer thinks they are getting one price, then learns later that there is a separate mold fee, a separate UV print fee, a separate engraving fee, or a separate shipping fee that was never made clear up front.
Coin Size
Larger coins require more material and more room to detail the artwork, which can increase cost. Size also affects how much information can comfortably fit on the design.
Number of Colors
A cleaner design with fewer colors is usually more economical than a heavily colored layout. More enamel work and more detailed color separation can affect the final quote.
Shape and Cutouts
Traditional round coins are often the most straightforward. Custom shapes, intricate cutouts, and functional bottle opener styles add production complexity.
2-D vs 3-D Artwork
2-D coins create raised and recessed detail with a flatter look. 3-D artwork adds sculpted depth and contour, which can require a more involved production process.
UV Printing
Some designs need exact image detail, gradients, or artwork that cannot be achieved as cleanly with traditional enamel alone. UV printing can solve that, but it changes the build and the price.
Quantity
Higher quantities usually lower the per-coin cost. Smaller runs generally have a higher unit cost because the setup and production work is spread across fewer coins.
How We Build a Quote
We try to make the pricing process simple and understandable. Instead of guessing or hiding the real cost until later, we build the quote around the actual project.
Share the Idea
Start with a sketch, a logo, a rough concept, or build the coin in our online design studio.
We Review the Build
We look at the full design direction including size, shape, color count, finish, 2-D or 3-D detail, and any specialty features.
We Price the Real Project
The quote is based on the coin you actually want made, not a generic placeholder number meant to look attractive at first glance.
You See What to Expect
You receive pricing built around the complete job so there is clarity before production moves forward.
We Want the Quote to Match the Reality
We believe challenge coin pricing should feel straightforward. If a design needs more because it is larger, more detailed, more sculpted, more colorful, or uses a specialty production method, we would rather tell you that clearly up front than pull you in with a low number and explain the real cost later.
That is why we like to see the complete picture first. Once we know what the project actually requires, we can quote it the right way. The goal is simple: clear expectations, no guessing, and no unpleasant surprises.
